What is ASTM – F 2200?ASTM F2200 is a standard set out togovern the building, design and construction of automated vehicular gates regulating compliance to ensure safety standards are met to help protect companies and the general public.

What is UL-325?UL-325 is a safety standard set out by the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Committee togovern gate operators and systems specifically rated 600 volts or less. This standards was set out to ensure the safety of the general public by providing products that are safe and will reduce the fire and electrical hazards.

Why do we need to comply with these Standards?The reason AES exceeds CSA standards and complies to UL325 and ASTM- F 2200 standards are to further protect the end user as well as AES from liability and potential harm to the general public.
For example, if a building were to catch fire and the fire department could not gain access to the property through the access system, the insurance companies and their legal representatives would scrutinize the gate system for compliance to standards and decline coverage or pursue recovery for the loss from a third party.

Do our products come with a warranty?All AES products come with a manufacturer’s warranty that will usually vary from 1 to 5 years, depending on the product or manufacturer. AES warrants integration for 1 year for any installation defects.

Does AES offer a service contract?AES does offer a service contract and it is recommended for facilities that have high cycle or a high security gate system.

Will AES service a system that was NOT installed by AES?AES will occasionally provide service on a non-AES system at our discretion, but the entire system will have to be brought up to the UL325 and ASTM – F2200 standards. There is also no warranty of any manner, spoken or implied, on existing equipment.
